This historic producer is located near Bolzano, in the northern Italian region of Trentino-Alto Adige. The winery was founded in 1142 – as old as the monastery itself – founded by Augustinian monks, making it one of the world's oldest still-operating wineries. Their vineyards sit at altitudes between 850-2950 feet above sea level. The winery practices sustainable viticulture and has been carbon neutral since 1992.
This Pino Grigio is rich and fruity on the palate, with notes of honeydew and peach, and a pleasantly acidic finish. A perfect pairing for late summer fare of grilled dishes or antipasti boards of salumi and formaggi.
