Gli Aironi, Arborio Rice (17.6oz)

Arborio Rice is the most known variety of Italian Rice used for risotto, especially in the United States, and is named after a small town in Piedmont. It was born in 1946 from a derivation of the Vialone plant. This variety is longer than Carnaroli and has high starch content as well. The starch allows the rice to absorb liquid while maintaining a nice firmness when cooked.
